Job description

Fleetsmart is looking for a Customer Support Technician in Wigan to support our customers with technical issues and manage internal stock levels and inventory.

This role involves significant responsibility for configuring, ordering, and dispatching vehicle tracking equipment and for addressing customer queries.
To succeed in this role, you should be skilled in customer support, proficient in managing business inventory/stock, and capable of resolving technical issues.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with large orders by configuring and preparing devices for dispatch to customers — full training will be given.
  • Manage stock control, order tracking units from suppliers, and handle the transfer of equipment to our service team.
  • Respond to customer queries via phone, email, and live chat, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Assist the Canadian operations with configuring devices and shipping to international regions.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, providing technical support and guidance to customers.
  • Assist with service-related tasks when customer support is quieter.
  • Maintain internal databases with updates on technical issues and useful customer interactions.
  • Coordinate with our Product and Sales teams to gather and relay customer feedback.

The starting wage will depend on the successful candidate's age and experience.

Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organisational, people skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in computer software or connected devices.
  • Patience when handling difficult support cases.
  • Someone hands-on and happy to support a small, fast-paced, busy support team.
  • Strong team player with an excellent attitude and professional character
  • Good multi-tasking abilities.
  • Living within commutable distance to WN3 postcode.
